2. CONNECT & COMMUNICATE

EVERYDAY ACTIONS

Practice these everyday actions every day.

These small actions will go a long way to building stress-free, safe and high performing teams.

CHECK-IN WITH YOUR M8TES

Check-in regularly and really listen. Holding regular team meetings where everyone has a chance to raise an issue or give a "shout out" to a m8te are important  things you can do as a leader to make your team8tes feel connected and valued. 

COMMUNICATE WITH IMPACT

Know how to communicate with impact. Use multiple communication methods. Your team8tes prefer face-to-face, but make sure to follow-up in writing especially if it is complex or related to a change.

3. KNOW THE ISSUES

WORKER WELLBEING 

Know your worker wellbeing and understand the the challenges they face, and get a tailored, prioritised action plan to take action and create a safe, stress-free and productive workplace. 

KEEP WELLBEING ON THE AGENDA

Keep the conversation about creating a stress-free workplace going, and take note on any issues your workm8tes raise, and then take action to resolve them. 

WORKPLACE RISK ASSESSMENT

Take a deep dive with our online assessment and find what work-related factors are impacting your workm8tes and get a tailored prioritised action plan to address the areas of high risk. 

4. EMPOWER ACTION

WORK TOGETHER TO DESIGN SOLUTIONS

Work together with your team8tes to co-design solutions to address areas of workplace stress. By doing this together you will see better and longer lasting results.

MAKE GOOD DECISIONS FAST

Don’t be a bottle neck, know how to make good decisions fast.

5. CLOSE THE LOOP & REVIEW REGULARLY

KEEP UP THE MOMENTUM

Don't let all your hard work go to waste by letting the wheels fall off.

Regularly report on progress made towards becoming a No Stress workplace. 

Be honest and transparent about progress - and if something isn't working.

Don’t force it. Try a different approach.

MAKE A PLAN - USE A PLANNING CALENDAR

Make workplace activities visible to your team8tes – talk about upcoming activities and progress towards goals. Use a use a planning calendar and pop it in the tearoom so everyone can see what is going on and what is coming up. 

ACCOUNTABILITY IS KEY TO SUCCESSFUL TEAMS

High performing teams cannot exist without accountability. 

REPEAT WORKER SURVEYS

Repeat the surveys on Worker Wellbeing and Workplace Risk Assessment annually to see what has changed and where new effort is needed. Use the tailored prioritised action plans produced to keep you on track. 

CLOSE THE LOOP WITH YOUR M8TES

Giving feedback shows workers that they are important, and asking for it helps you understand what is really going on. 

RECOGNISE YOUR M8TES

A lack of recognition is the #1 reason workers say they leave their job.

Your workers want genuine verbal recognition for a job well done. Learn more about how to recognise your m8tes with impact. 

6. CREATE CONNECTED M8TES

CONNECTED TEAM8TES ARE NO STRESS TEAM8TES

Build strong, connected team8tes through shared social experiences at work.

Know how to spot the signs of stress in a workm8te. Is the check engine warning light on?

Do you need to act before it escalates into a bigger problem?
